Safety workwear is a different sourcing exercise from standard uniforms. Flame-resistant (FR) and high-visibility (hi-vis) garments protect workers, so fabric specification, standards, and certification carry real weight — a wrong spec is a safety failure, not just a quality issue.
Flame-resistant (FR) workwear
FR garments are used in oil and gas, electrical, welding, and industrial settings. There are two broad fabric approaches: inherently FR fabrics (the fiber itself resists flame and does not wash out) and treated FR fabrics (a chemical finish, lower cost but performance can degrade over many washes). Confirm which you are quoting, and match it to the relevant standard for your market.
High-visibility (hi-vis) workwear
Hi-vis relies on fluorescent background fabric plus retroreflective tape, specified by class based on how much visible material is required. Placement of the reflective tape and the garment color (yellow-green or orange-red) is defined by the standard your site requires.
What to lock down before ordering
State the exact standard and class you need, request certification or test reports for the fabric, and always sample — reflective tape placement and FR fabric hand feel should be verified physically. Because these are spec-driven, avoid suppliers who cannot document the fabric.
GAZO reviews workwear specifications and requested safety standards before confirming a project. Minimum order: 100 pieces. Paid samples are dispatched within 15 days. Share the required standard and garment details for a project quotation.
